I live by the warm coat philosophy. That is, if the coat you have keeps you cozy in the cold then there's no reason to keep buying a new one every couple years. For example, MS DOS forced you to type esoteric commands at a prompt (a T-shirt in the cold), Win 3.x had a simple file cabinet GUI and lacked basic OS functions (a long-sleaved shirt), Win95 & 98 were unstable (a sweater), yet WinXP is fully-featured and stable (a warm coat in the cold), so why upgrade to Vista?, especially considering its bloat. Stop being a pawn to the greedy, they know when a program matures (ex. PowerDVD v4.0 XP) but will continue making what they know to be needless upgrades forever, not AT ALL for your benefit, but only for the sake of MONEY (if you think this is paranoid you haven't studied economics). So please, donate your money, spend it on alcohol ... anything is better than giving it needlessly to Big Business.
